Now and next boards for pupils with ASD - Now and Next's should be used for activities for example Now is writing Next is reward time. These should be printed out and laminated.
I created this placemat to aid pupils (and teachers) during lessons, you will have to insert a picture of the pupil in the appropriate section. The 1,2,3,4 is the lesson activities (What you what the pupil to complete in the lesson and the = reward section is their own personal motivators (5 minute reward time). The personal targets section may be a lesson target or a behavioural target. In addition the traffic light noise levels are used to show pupils what noise they need to be on. Red is silence, Yellow is classroom voice and Green is classroom noise.
This is an adapted scale to show students the consequences of behaviours - Can be used for all students that can read and understand. Language has been kept to minimal.
These visuals are basic and very effective, I have used them to help 100s of ASD pupils learn how to swim. They are basic, but like i said they are also very helpful. Print them A3 and laminate them for best use at a swimming pool.
This safety check is called the M check, I have created the visual and it uses a step by step guide to teach pupils how to carry out a safety check. These visuals are best used, by making them smaller and lamented. Then hole punched and attached to a lanyard.
