Revision guide & workbook combined physics paper 2

(2)
A revision guide with supporting workbook, written to support Edexcel combined science- physics (Paper 2). Revision guide is broken down to deliver the core knowledge (AO1) needed for the course, suitable for all exam boards but the topics are arranged to support preparation for the Edexcel paper. Workbook provides students the opportunity to apply their AO1 knowledge to a range of different question styles. Answers are included. At the end of the revision guide are exam style questions for each topic, these ramp in demand to allow practice of addressing AO2 and AO3 questions- mark schemes are included. This is great resource for students and will save a lot of time for experienced teachers and could be a lifeline for newer teachers or non-specialists. I have included the revision guide and workbook separately and also a merged version where each page of the revision guide is followed by the supporting knowledge questions- I use this version with my lower ability students in particular.

A revision booklet to support the delivery of the KS3 Forces and Motion topic. Each page is designed to support a lesson of work. Great to help support a non-specialist teacher or for helping students prepare for low stakes testing mid-topic or end of topic assessment. Each lesson of revision is supported by tiered questions (with mark scheme) to allow students to apply their revision. In my teaching I set these as homework tasks to help students prepare for mid-topic AFL lessons and then they use the whole booklet, with questions and mark scheme to help prepare for the end of topic test. I have included these homework pages. The AFL booklet, which includes tiered questions for every lesson and then stretch or support questions for the mini topic, along with accompanying mark scheme, is available to purchase.

Lesson long AFL tasks, with supporting mark scheme. Great for mid topic tasks, low stakes testing, to see how well students are doing and to provide accurate feedback to teachers and students about areas of strength and weakness. Teach the lessons, set a homework revision task, complete the AFL task and get students to peer or self-assess, make improvements and review progress. Great to support inexperienced teachers, teachers working out of specialism as well as experienced physics teachers. The booklet has a series of tiered questions based on each lesson, depending on how students perform they then complete either a support or a stretch task. I have produced a revision guide for this topic which is available to download for free.

Written for the Edexcel GCSE 1-9, covers both higher and foundation papers 1 and 2 (separate booklets) from the physics section of the combined science course. This is every criteria point for the whole of the combined science: physics course. Every specification criteria (some broken down to allow more clarity) is matched to the relevant page in the CGP revision guide and has a linked question, with mark scheme. I use these throughout the year after identifying personalised student weaknesses I set students specific revision needs and use the questions to assess progress. I also use them as a whole booklet like this to allow them to check their core knowledge after revising each topic, they find it a useful way of building their ability to use knowledge to answer exam style questions.

Work booklets to allow students to practice application of the force, weight, momentum, workdone and kinetic energy equations. Within the edexcel course this is the 'SP2 Motion and Forces topic' but relevant to all courses. Students asked to complete the equation triangle, re-write the equation for each value and practice using the equation with straight forward numbers. Students are then asked some written (exam style) questions to apply their skills. Opportunity is given to create their own questions to really develop familiarity with each equation and a mark scheme so they can receive immediate feedback on their performance. These are a great independent revision tool for the students or could even be used during your first phase teaching. If you like this resource I have identical packs for all the 'recall and apply' equations available to buy through TES.

The booklets consist of: 60 x key knowledge check questions (with answers)- this is the key knowledge students will require for the exam. Exam criteria points (in student friendly speak) with space to write notes next to each criteria- the pages that this material is covered in the CGP revision guides is also indicated. An exam style question written to test understanding of each criteria point A mark scheme so that students can work independently to check their progress and understanding. These are great for students to work through independently in school with teacher guidance and support, as required, or for homework. If you use question level analysis of an exam paper to identify areas of greatest need then this booklet also allows you to direct interventions and future testing in the correct areas.
