This is a lesson that looks at unfair trade in the chocolate industry. The lesson begins with a discussion about what is fair and what is valuable. Students then take on roles in the chocolate chain of production and have to pitch for their share of a £1 chocolate bar. They always inevitably ask too much. It is then up to the class to negotiate everyone down before the real split is revealed. It contains a link to a short video on youtube about slavery in the chocolate trade. The lesson ends with evaluation questions about fair trade.

Some posters advertising the RE and the potential careers available by studying it. Starts with a list of possible careers and then includes posters with quotes from employers about the importance of the skills developed in RE taken from various websites. The posters of famous people at the end were adapted from pablo_75's display posters.

A resource which pupils create their own political party to address local and national issues. They also have to create an image for their political party.

A simple worksheet to accompany the first 20 minutes of Gattaca. It covers the topics of designer babies and genetic engineering.

Revision and essay planning resources for OCR Religious Studies Philosophy and Ethics AS Level. They cover all the AS topics for Philosophy and Ethics sections and some Developments in Christian Thought topics. How they work: Students add as much detail as they can from memory about the words or concepts on the page. Using notes or through group discussion they then add more information or add what they were missing. As a class fill in any gaps in knowledge. They then draw arrows between words and identify how the information links. I have also added an essay planning sheet and another revision resource for structuring information logically.

This lesson is a group work based lesson that looks at different interpretations on Jesus' character. You will need access to the Bible, the Qur'an and Jesus and Buddha the Parallel Sayings by Marcus Borg. There are 8 groups so if you do not have access to Qur'ans and the Marcus Borg book you can reduce it to 6 groups and it will still work. Please leave a review.
