Descriptive Writing Mini-Unit - Visible Cities

(2)
A descriptive writing mini-unit for KS3/4 English. It was designed to allow students to use their imaginations without over-loading them with marking criteria. I've included the extracts for 'Neverwhere' and 'Gormenghast', both of which are available online, but not the extracts from 'Invisible Cities'. Sorry!

Shakespeare - 'The Tempest' Scheme of Work

(0)
Scheme of Work for Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'. Originally taught to a group of mixed-ability Year 7s. The unit includes some analytical writing prompts but the final assessment is a descriptive writing task. We looked at extracts from both Julie Taymor's 2010 film and the 2014 Globe production in class.
