This is adapted from a session designed for care workers working with LGBTQ+ service users. It can be used for pride month, or as an induction activity, or used as part of an Equality learning programme. There is a powerpoint, a video, a tarsia puzzle, missing words sheets, and a kinaesthetic activity on LGBTQ+ history.

I used this as an “assessment as learning” resource and now again as a revision tool. Groups working together, asking each other if they have seen a certain word or definition is what builds and secures learning. In addition, this can be done competitively with the fastest groups receiving reward points etc.

These activities are designed to introduce discussion and test pre-existing knowledge of HSC careers, settings, and sectors. There is a powerpoint to guide you through and eight paper based, and group based activities for learners to work through and expand on.
