Assembly about Shackleton’s expedition to the Antarctic. Enough parts for 30 children and includes an opportunity for some of the children to perform ice ice baby (edit the lyrics you provide to the children) . I also had some keen dancers to choreograph and dance to the rap as others performed it. The assembly introduces the main members of the crew looking at reasons they explored and gently pokes fun at them. We also have a small section where famous women ridicule the men for not having any female crew members. Lasts about 15 minutes.

I created this spreadsheet based on the NCA guidelines for what we need to cover for the SPAG test. I use it as a record to ensure I cover all topics for the test and colour code them according to how well my children understand i.e. green - don't need to cover again, orange- need more practise.
