I created these lessons using a range of sources from different websites including Roald Dahl. My attempt was to create literacy lessons that would be self-explanatory enough for children to complete whilst home-learning, yet still hitting the Curriculum Requirements. Used currently in Year 4 but could also be used in Year 3 or 5.

A science investigation linked to the story of The Twits. Chapter 28 involves Mugglewump building a new home when the Twits have disappeared. This science investigation allows children to think of a fair test that will help build the strongest structure. Resources that may be Required/amended: Sticks, pencils, dowel rod, blu tac, glue, sellotape.
