In these GCSE worksheets there are two revision races, aimed at different grades. The teams start with the picture and the first question. When they have shown the answer they are given the next question and so on. I wrote them for module 5 revision, so mostly Algebra and shape questions.

KS4 Maths Lesson Plan. Pupil Activity. Objective: To be confident using trigonometry to find missing sides and angles. Pupils teach other Pupils. Identify the experts in the class. They then teach a small group to see if they can improve by the end of the lesson.

I use one of these each lesson to give repetitive practice to help students gain confidence in some of the basics. I stress that they are trying to improve on their previous mark.

Copy each page on a different colour paper. Slice into strips. Students match them up domino style, but can then make into paper chains.

A couple of questions on each slide. Use one slide each lesson as a starter to keep algebra skills high profile for GCSE exam and in preparation for A Level. I printed them on card, postcard size so that students could write the correct solution on the back and then refer back to for revision.

I used this to review shape properties and area. Step 1, identify the shapes and make a note of properties and formulas. Step 2, find the area of each shape by measuring key lengths. Step 3, check your accuracy by comparing with the area of the whole rectangle. Worked well with y10 higher students.
