Initially designed to track entire KS3 cohorts progress over every individual topic/sport taught in PE, students were baseline tested at the start of the year in fitness and leadership. During each activity students were assessed at various points throughout the unit with the scores recorded on this spreadsheet. The data allows you to track each individual pupil across every activity they have completed all year, if they move classes no problem, just colour code the grade to the activity at the top and you never lose them (you just change their class code on the left). The bottom columns track overall class progress (at any groups you select from the filter buttons) and gives you a simplified version telling you exactly how many pupils are in each level at each of the assessment stage enabling you to tell SLT/Ofsted how each class/pupils is progressing through the year and through each individual activity. This thing has been my baby for a while, trialled successfully and ready to share.

KS3/4 PE Level descriptors based round the OCR GCSE practical criteria. Grades are linked to a named level system we developed and these have KS4 comparisons so the pupils can see how they are progressing towards GCSE PE levels if that is the route they want to take. It also allows for easier transitions with parents/reports from KS3 to KS4. I put them on lanyards and have the kids use them in lesson to grade themselves and peers.
