This lesson encourages students to consider what appeasement is, the arguments for and against appeasement. It then gets them to consider how far arguments support a statement and then asks them to write up a counter-argument to a GCSE question. There is also a HWK based on Q12 of AQA conflict and tension using two sources on a structure strip.

This is a whole lesson on the Yalta Conference and looking at how successful it was. It includes key details on how each of the Grand Alliance felt prior to the conference. The key activities are; assessing the aims and concerns of each leader prior to the conference, assessing how 'happy' each leader would be with each others objectives, evaluating the outcomes of the conference, looking at the declaration of liberated Europe and finally explaining how each leader would feel after the conference.

Whole lesson for AQA 2R- This is the first lesson to start the course. Gives students an understanding of Post WW2 relations + the differences between capitalism and communism. Ask students to assess how significant key war time relations were in laying the foundations of the Cold War. Includes key activities and is teachable from the outset.

This lesson looks at the reasons why the Grand Alliance collapsed with a main focus on the Potsdam conference. It leads students into an essay question and specifically asks them to look and read about the three leaders.
This lesson gets students to focus on the aims of Germany before WW1. It encourages them to make a twitter profile for the Kaiser focusing on his foreign policy aims. It then encourages them to create a quiz for other students through flipped learning. It ends asking them to answer a GCSE question.
