This powerpoint presentation is based on the film 'Holes&' by Louis Sachar is designed for School Age 12-14 years as part of a English Literature Course. The focus here is on two main characters of Stanley & Zero and studies their friendship as the story develops. We have used open questions to explore the reasons for their friendship from a particular scenes using a court room scenario involving both Stanley é Zero. Our hope is that teachers can find inspiration from this presentation to use as a Role Play Activity within their class as part of Speaking é listening/Drama.

I wanted my student to use a recent trip to Iceland and become a travel writer al a Michael Palin for a short time. My aim was to get him to use descriptive language and his own imagination. Hopefully this will inspire those who are able to travel during the holidays to become travel writers and apply technigues such as Metaphor, personification etc
