The lesson looks at the Nazi' four main aims (self sufficiency, unemployment, controlling the workers and getting Germany ready for war) and how successful they were in achieving these aims.

The resource is designed for GCSE groups. It examines the role of Schacht and how successful Goerings' Four Year Plans were, with a special focus on farmers. Designed for the AQA spec, but is relevant for any exam board focussing on the Nazi drive towards self-sufficiency.

Lesson designed for the GCSE AQA spec on Elizabeth I. Contains a card sort that can be used numerous ways (problems/solutions/rank in order of significance...), ultimately leading to a question assessing the relative success of Elizabeth in dealing with the Puritan threat.

Intended as a revision lesson. The cards are on the PowerPoint and need printing out. Students put them into chronological order and create a life graph of industrial relations (relation were good/bad/ugly). The starter is family fortunes - feel free to change the answers (and the prizes!). By the end students should assess which government was most successful in dealing with industrial relations and why. Only goes up to 1979 but can be used to revise with A level or AS level students.

The lesson includes a card sort on the impact of war on German citizens, with the intention of pupils converting the information into a living graph. The lesson builds up to an interpretation question which would suit GCSE AQA candidates.
