Tissues and organs

(0)
This is for KS4 pupils. I produced a power point I could use like a lesson plan with different activities aimed towards low to middle ability pupils. It includes a hands on starter (you’d need your own lay dough) to help understand cells, tissues and organs. Then looks at the stomach. Then a game linking organs that work as a system. Some questions to check progress. Finish it how you like but Ive added keywords and expect pupils to make two questions that can answer the words they need in a game of bingo. Learning objectives/criteria To state what an organ is. To describe what tissues makes up an organ. The other resource is information so pupils can answer what each tissue of the stomach does.

The human digestive system

This is for KS4 pupils. I produced a power point I could use like a lesson plan with different activities aimed towards low to middle ability pupils. It follows the kerboodle order. Starter - role of digestion. I use a resource with my groups called ‘The Gruesome Guts Tour’ but I think I would be in breach of copyright laws if I downloaded it so its just a recommendation. Before and after reading the extract pupils use the card sort but the story is not essential. Pupils then label the digestive system organs and state what they do. Progress check after teacher talk, including villi explanation. Finish with true or false game.
