This has a mystery sheet that you can copy/laminate/reproduce to your hearts content! And it goes on to have some questions for the pupils to answer - there is also a differentiated version of the question sheet Ideal for a topic on the Restless Earth or tectonic plates and natural hazards

This activity was set up around my room so that various groups of pupils could sit and have a go at finding out information for themselves about earthquakes. I have used this with a fairly low ability group so you may want to adapt to strectch your higher groups. Each activity is numbered and has instructions so you should be able to work it out, but please ask if it is too confusing

This booklet has been useful for the pupils to get settled for a lesson as they always know what they should be doing. The booklets can be laid out at the beginning of every lesson and pupils should make a start. Each starter links to a specific lesson topic, so it can be used alongside my lesson plans, or you can alter it to suit your own planning

This is 2 resources - one detailed card sort about the Peasants Revolt, and one for lower ability (would need differentiating further for very low ability) We have used this card sort to introduce the Peasants Revolt to year 7s and followed it up with questioning and a very simple 'who was involved in the Peasants Revolt' sheet (see my other resources)

The Jelly baby game uses a card sort format and a family of jelly babies to display to pupils the reasons for population growth and decline. My KS3 pupils love it! This is not my invention, but thought it might be useful as its the kind of things that passes through many hands but you cant always find it when you want it!

This was originally planned for an EAL pupil (simple words and images) but was found to be useful for lower abiltiy pupils This very basic activity was also used as a simple refresher following lessons on the Peasants Revolt, but could also be used with a low ability group to structure their learning
