Project based on Dynamo 3 Rouge pages 108/109 “Visite à un pays francophone”. Students follow a step by step worksheet to produce a poster about le Québec, Madagascar or l’île Maurice comprising some historical, cultural and geographical details and a description of a tour with different activities they will research whilst completing the worksheet. Students work in pairs and they can use the vocabulary from module 5 for support. The answers for the first 3 activities are on the PowerPoint presentation. The worksheet contains links to touristic websites the students can access for their research.

Reading for teaching of jobs and places of work, revising family members and tenses. Olivier describes his family and friends’ jobs, places of work and their previous or dream jobs. Students have to find the information in the text and fill the table in English. Not all will have a current, a previous and a dream job. Some dictionary work can be completed ahead of or during the task. Different tenses and time phrases could be researched before hand to support foundation students. Students were given the AQA GCSE Studio Higher vocabulary for support (pages 158/159). This task can lead to the production of a similar writing by the students.

Work to support the study of the film “Sur le chemind de l’école”.
