A descriptive writing lesson, aimed at lower ability Year 7. Can be adapted with challenges, to increase challenge and stretch pupils. Used as an observation lesson, which was graded outstanding, A fun and engaging lesson, that approaches descriptions of characters in a different way. Worksheet are included as the last few slides, there are also prompt for those who are struggling - which I just cut out and left on the table. Feel free to adapt as you see fit.

Flashcards created for use during one to one and small group intervention. Phonic focus on letter sounds and which to use. Laminate and cut out and they're ready to go.

A selection of Literacy Games, for display. Can be used as starters, challenge activities or ice breakers. I find they have worked well with small group work - and because they can be displayed, pupils readily pick them as extensions or once they have completed their work.
