A descriptive writing lesson, aimed at lower ability Year 7. Can be adapted with challenges, to increase challenge and stretch pupils. Used as an observation lesson, which was graded outstanding, A fun and engaging lesson, that approaches descriptions of characters in a different way. Worksheet are included as the last few slides, there are also prompt for those who are struggling - which I just cut out and left on the table. Feel free to adapt as you see fit.

A great way to help build confidence, for those who struggle with getting their ideas down on paper - can be done as a discussion. A mixture of fiction and non fiction extracts - suitable for use across the Key Stages. Print them off, laminate them and you're away.
