This is a Talk for write story and activities. It can be used and adapted for REC/Y1/Y2. I like to create my story maps on the computer as I am not a very good drawer and then model filling in the blank format. there are some sequencing activities that you may want to adapt. I hope someone can get some use out of them :)

Here are some basic resources that can be adapted if you need them. Aliens Love underpants was our focus and would be suitable for Year 1 /REC depending on ability.

Children read simple sentences containing tricky words and colour appropriately. I used it as an independent guided reading task.

I found some of these comprehensions on here and adapted them to my children. It was good for my EAL/SEN children and those who are difficult to engage. 1 document is draw/colour answers and they other is simple sentence writing.

Elf on the Shelf story - differentiated inference questions. Story not needed if elf is in class.

Here is a shortened version of the Gingerbread PPT that I had found. I just made it a little easier for my children to remember as they are EAL. Then there is also some basic differentiated sequencing activities that I made using the pictures from the story. The story alone might be useful to somebody.

This is a story map and blank format for the children to create their own. I have used a Oxford reading tree story and made it Talk for write for my children to access. I created the story map using the story, so hopefully it will save some time and come in useful for someone.
