This is a 35 page booklet that introduces the concept of tone and basic colour theory. Exercises are broken down by lesson with differentiated assessment objectives, starter activities, and plenaries using ALF. Students are taken through exercises to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of colour and tone. They are then taken step by step through the process of felt making where they are asked to apply their understanding of complementary and harmonising colours. The work of artist Wassily Kandinsky is introduced and students are taken through, step by step, designing their own design based on Kandinsky and produce using silk painting techniques.
