Yr10/11 lesson to either teach or revise the near and simple future tenses and to support Module 4 Expo4 AQA - a good topic to keep students motivated!

If you are like me, you are still attached to Expo 4 but also working with new text books too such as AQA French; this power point use resources from both text books to teach compass directions, position of adjectives, key vocabulary, advantages and disadvantages of where we live and the negative. I have used a listening from Expo 4 and a reading from AQA enjoying the merits of both books.

The lesson revises the present, past and near future of key verbs needed and offers opportunities for speaking, reading and writing which scaffolds the learning to culminate in the debate.

A cultural, stand alone lesson to explore the background to 14th July or 1/3 lessons for an end of term project on the French Revolution which studies symbols of La Terreur, historical and literary references together with a reading comprehension and creative task. This can be used in conjunction with Expo 2 and a well known film. A part 2 follows in a second power point.

A 28 page slide to support the teaching of holidays in the past tense at KS4 over 4 lessons with a song to kick off, grammar notes and differentiated exercises and answers.

A 22 slide power point covering the section on World Issues to support the teaching of EXPO 4 ROUGE. The key vocabulary is presented, verbs and tense constructions are revised and presentation slides and answers are provided for exercises 1, 2 and 4.

Material enough for 2 lessons to enable yr 9 students to revise their knowledge of the past tense from year 8 and to build upon this to create their own dialogues with exercises which include a sorting task, model answer, interview grid and song along the way.

The first of 5 lessons to enable students to talk about the importance of learning a language within the context of french Speaking countries across the world. Reading, writing and spoken exercises to develop vocabulary and develop confidence using modal verbs.

A 35 slide power point to teach school subjects and option choices at ks3 to support Tricolore 3. The vocabulary for subjects is presented, reasons for option choices, a reading task with table and answers, 2 gap fill written tasks and exercises with answers from the text book ending up with questions to support a written or spoken presentation at the end of the unit. The slides are set to watch the film l'Argent de poche as a supporting cultural reference.

A 23 page powerpoint to support the teaching or revision of Healthy Lifestyle in expo 4 rouge. The slides enable spoken, reading and written work to practise talking about eating habits and lifestyle in the present and Imperfect Tenses.

The second of 4 lessons with 9 slides enabling students in year 9 to talk about the importance of languages using Modal verbs and supporting the teaching of Expo 3 vert.

A 30 page power point with activities and research tasks enabling students to learn about the fashion and situations at the time of the French Revolution.

A 41 page project to support the teaching of Module 6 in expo3vert. Exercises from the text book are presented together with answers and references made to the workbook for extension. Ideal to turn into a booklet to promote creative individual learning alongside ipads or cover work or alternatively as a prop to get students through those last few lessons of French in year 9!

A 14 page power point to support the teaching of the background to LE 14 JUILLET leading students to be able to either produce a poster or title page for the day or to extend their research further. This power point works well to initiate a project on the French Revolution and can be followed with my other published power point, <> . Both can be used along side any well known story or dvd of this period!

A lesson with activities using youtube clips from the TV series S** in the City to test the Past Tense and to study the lyrics to the MC Solaar song. Also supports teaching of the Paris Module in Encore Tricolore 3.
