This 6 week unit is designed for KS3 and is designed to embed the necessary skills required for the English Language Paper 2. The unit focusses on the perspectives of writers and is focussed around letters - the unit is called 'Letters to Loved ones' There are resources to accompany the scheme of work and a PPT which follows the scheme closely.

This is a complete 6 week scheme of work for Animal Farm. This was designed for high ability year 7 students and focusses on improving their evaluative skills. This unit embeds the skills needed for Q4 of Language Paper 1. The unit also explores the social and historical context for the novel: Stalin, Trotsky and the Russian Revolution. There is also a HWK booklet that accompanies this unit of work. I have created sheets for all lessons and there are accompanying PPTs which the support the SOW.

This reading diary can be used to accompany the Accelerated Reader Programme. This diary helps to focus the students' engagement with the programme and helps to encourage parental engagement. There is lots of information for the students and parents to read which encourages engagement with reading. The diary also has suggestions for books of all abilities. The use of this diary is linked to the Accelerated and is used within a boys' school but you can edit the diary very easily to suit your needs.
