We were focusing on sequencing so there are plenty of opportunites to practise this skill in this pack as well as tasks for inference, visualising, true or false, ‘find and copy’, vocabulary and direct comprehension retrieval questions. A complete answer book is also attached to reduce pressure of marking the tasks. Can be used for whole class or guided group work. Covers Y3 / Y4 objectives but easily adaptable. Could easily be used across a half term. Each page includes a WALT (We Are Learning To…) and S.O.S - Steps of Success or could easily be adapted to whatever your school use e.g. WILF.

Each worksheet include lesson objectives in the form of S.O.S (Steps of success) but these can easily be adapted in word. they also contain S.O.S - steps of success (success criteria) which is again easily adapted. 6 worksheets in total. Here is a T4W (Talk 4 Writing) version of The Selfish Crocodile aimed at Year 2 / Year 3 pupils. I have also included some resources to be used alongside the text. Included - a copy of the story map, a vocabulary and handwriting task, a reading comprehension, a # activity (summarising each paragraph of the text), a Widget Online version for use with lower ability / SEND pupils, an emoji activity - a lesson we do on sentence construction to write a sentences describing how a chosen character is feeling at a point in the text - can be extended to be written as complex sentences starting with the conjunction.
