These are power points and resources that I used to cover the theme of Autobiography and Biography within the KS3 scheme of work, topics are predominantly covered by the power points and are supported via work sheets and hand outs! Feel free to nab the resources, they took me ages to make!

A short SOW for analysing leaflets/ non fiction texts for my year 7 class. I included two lessons on using PEE looking at a fiction text, to help them grasp the idea.

An observation lesson on exposition writing for WJEC English Language. I have used this for an observation so it includes a lesson plan.

A 40 minute lesson on poetry for mixed ability KS3 groups. This includes: A comprehensive lesson, with learning objectives, fun activities and a clear sense of progression. Two worksheets that are fully differentiated and for use with the lesson.

An observation lesson on Jekyll and Hyde. The aim is to write their own PEARL paragraphs regarding the character of Jekyll. This is aimed at GCSE Literature and can be used for AQA or WJEC. I’ve attached the PEARL sheet, but could easily be adapted.

This was a 40 minute observed lesson, for a group of mixed ability Year 10s. Pack includes: Comprehensive and differentiated lesson, focusing on: a clip from The Hunger Games, dystopian poetry and then the final task which is to write their own dystopian description. Comprehensive booklet to be used in conjunction with the lesson or to support ALN students.
