A comprehensive unit of learning on Shakespeare’s King Lear. This was designed for Cambridge A Level students but can be adapted to suit your needs. There is a Powerpoint for each scene of the play which has key extracts & quotes, analysis and commentary on characters and themes. There is also critical lenses/interpretation woven in, and detailed notes from a Michael Hurst adaptation the students saw live. N.B. There is no ppt for Act 2 Scene 1 and 2 as we looked at different interpretations and performances.

Included in this bundle are PowerPoints for each chapter of the novel up to chapter 22. This includes comprehension questions for each chapter, some extract analysis, general discussion questions and a few activities. This is not designed to cover the novel in-depth but to be more of a reading companion to get students thinking about the characters and themes. Also included is a PowerPoint which has a range of creative tasks related to the novel. I will release the second half of the PowerPoints as a separate resource soon.

A series of PowerPoint presentations covering the entirety of the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE History Origins and Course of the First World War, 1905-18 topic. There are no activities, question etc on the ppts, they only cover the content of the course, with appropriate accompanying images. However, this means that they can easily be adapted for your use in the classroom.

An entire unit on the play All My Sons by Arthur Miller. There are Powerpoints for every section of the play, and some worksheets. The ppts contain information on key characters and themes, quotes, extracts and analysis, as well as wider context and some criticism.

An entire unit for Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. This includes a Powerpoint for each scene of the play and a few worksheets. This was originally designed for GCSE level but can be adapted for other year groups.

A scheme of learning based on the Disney Pixar film ‘Onward’. The scheme predominantly focuses on the use of different film techniques and their effects.It also includes some creative tasks, and essay writing skills. The resources include a PowerPoint which covers all lessons, as well as all the relevant worksheets. This was designed for a Year 9 class in New Zealand, but can be adapted for students globally aged 11-14.

An entire unit on Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. This includes a cloze activity for each chapter, a Powerpoint with questions, key quotes and extracts, analysis and context. There are also worksheets to accompany the content in the ppt. Designed for a Year 10 class but can be adapted for different year groups.

This resource contains a pre-reading PowerPoint and one PowerPoint for each chapter of the novel. Each PowerPoint contains comprehension questions, some opportunities for extract analysis, general discussion questions and some creative thinking/writing/designing activities. There is also a bonus PowerPoint with a selection of creative activities.

This PowerPoint contains 95 slides - a whole unit to study the William Golding novel. There are a range of discussion questions, quotes and extract analysis, character & theme study. There are also ‘creative writing checkpoints’ to get students to hone their skills, with prompts based on the novel. This was geared towards the old Level 1 NCEA (NZ) spec but can be adapted to suit your curriculum.

This scheme of learning is targeted at students studying the play An Experiment with an Air Pump by Shelagh Stephenson for their CAIE A2 English Literature qualification, but can be adapted to suit your own syllabus or year level. The pack includes powerpoint presentations for each scene of the play. There is also a powerpoint covering the context of the play. Each powerpoint includes a summary of the scene, key quotations with language analysis and contextual information. There are a few student-led tasks scattered throughout, though most of it is analysis.

A unit of work based on the novel Once by Morris Gleitzman. The PowerPoint includes comprehension questions for each chapter, as well as different activities based around these chapters. These come with corresponding worksheets. There is also a ‘context’ Powerpoint which has a timeline of events leading up to Hitler’s rise to power and the Holocaust. Designed as a launching point for students research. This was designed with the New Zealand Curriculum in mind, for a Year 9 class. However, this can easily be adapted for your own use.
