This resource is a unit plan for the topic of The Rainforest, or it could serve as a unit on stories from other cultures. It uses a great animation I found on the literacy shed, and was originally planned to engage a tricky group of Year 4 boys. Feedback welcome!

This is a really simple sheet for factor bugs. Children can choose their own number, and then write all the factors for that number. I made it for Years 3 & 4, but it could be easily adapted. It works really well as a starter, especially when teaching multiplication and division and how to check answers using the inverse operation.

A number line game for children from Year 3 upwards. Would work well as a starter, extension or challenge activity.
