PPt to support the lesson on testing the pH of household substances using universal indicator. A table for the students to fill in while completing their practical and key questions and poster task afterwards. Can bring in magazines/newspapers for students to cut out pictures

A good plenary for a series of lessons on reactions of metals and the reactivity series. Students draw a 3x3 grid on a mini whiteboard, the teacher then reads out the clues. OR for higher ability students, they could make the clues and then play as a table/team.

A revision exercise. Word Equations of how different metals and their compounds react with acids. Cut up the equations and mix them up then the students must solve them. Can do as a group activity or individually to reform the mixed up equations! Make it a competition- who can do it the fastest!?
