Making Sustainable Education Simpler We've now proven beyond a doubt that a school can offer students a transformative high quality education and cover their own costs through school-run businesses. The SCHOOL IN A BOX Guide Series aims to make starting such a school easy, and reduce the risks involved to a manageable level. This series draws together the collective experiences of Teach a Man to Fish, our sister organization Fundacion Paraguaya, and the many school partners we work with across the developing world into nine easy-to-read self-help manuals.

These lessons are designed to enable pupils to understand the importance of education and the ways in which it (particularly self-sufficient education) can help to raise standards of living in developing countries. The work of Teach A Man To Fish (TAMTF) is used to exemplify this point. Themes include; inequality, development indicators, enterprise, aid and the development gap.

This is a taster lesson of our Secondary Enterprise Curriculum; a comprehensive set of 11 lesson plans recommended for schools who wish to combine practical entrepreneurship with a theoretical curriculum. Each lesson includes detailed teacher notes & resources. The curriculum has been designed to run alongside the 'School Enterprise Challenge&', a FREE global business planning competition for schools. This is a taster lesson of our Primary Enterprise Curriculum which has been designed to teach primary children the foundational concept of setting up & running a business. This particular lesson focuses on how good businesses look after the planet.
