Great homework to accompany this lesson- get the students to create their own character profile and then stick it into their book next lesson.

Fourth lesson in the Island scheme of work focusing on religious birth ceremonies. This is a breakaway lesson from the Island and gets students to apply their learning from the previous lesson to birth ceremonies performed by people of faith. Includes a carousel task on the different birth ceremonies and worksheet.

Third lesson in the Island scheme of work focusing on rites of passage. The story of the Island continues with the birth of a baby. This lesson focuses on the rites of passage that we go through as human beings and why they are important. End of lesson task is creating their own birth ceremony that can be marked. Marking sticker is included to help with marking and workload.
