Pantomime Script - Sleeping Beauty

(0)
This 45min pantomime has been specially written with schools and youth theatres in mind. With 16 characters, plus lots of opportunity for ensemble performers it is perfect for youth theatres or classes. There is also the opportunity for your performers to get creative and apply their own ideas to iconic pantomime conventions such as the ghost gag and chase sequences. Suggested music is included which can be changed to suit the cast and current music trends. Please note it is the responsibility of the person producing the show to seek the necessary permissions to use recorded music from the Performing Rights Society. The script itself is royalty free, all I ask is that you do not share it with anyone outside your organisation. Other pantomimes are available (Aladdin & Jack and the Beanstalk). Please ask for more details.

KS1 Performance Poem

(0)
A poem for key stage 1 children to learn and perform, or to share in class. The poem is about bugs and serves as a good lesson opener to a wider discussion or topic on nature, the natural world, ecology, creepy crawlies etc How I’ve used this resource: This poem is great as a performance piece and can be enhanced by adding simple actions. The children love delivering the final line, pretending they have the bug tickling them. It can also be used as part of an assembly, recital or performance. The poem has also been used as a starter for drama lessons, art activities and could be set to music. Although the guide level is KS1; an able EYFS group could enjoy it too, or it could be used as a solo performance piece for Year 3.

EYFS/Nursery/Reception Poem

This poem is for EYFS/Nursery/Reception to enjoy together as a physical activity. Its fun approach will encourage lots of movement and co-ordination. It can be used as part of a regular routine, or as one off physical activity. This poem has 2 pages. How I’ve used this resource: This has been specifically written for an adult or older child to speak aloud whilst the children carry out the moves as described in the poem. It encourages movement, co-ordination, rhythm, expression and musicality. Fantastic for getting little bodies moving after lunch, to re-focus or to participate in for fun! If used regularly, children start to memorise the words and join in too which is fantastic for speech development and communication skills. It could also be pre-recorded by an adult to use as a digital resource for class or home enjoyment.
