This is a scheme for year 9 10 or 11 which helps them to practise reading tricky non-fiction texts. There is a text on one page and then tasks on the subsequent page. Tasks include 10 comprehension questions based on the text, language and structual analysis of features from the text, a little SPaG task and then key vocabulary to define and spell. Texts are old and new just like the English Language GCSE paper 2. It needs to be printed A4 one slide per full page.

A full scheme lesson by lesson with resources ready to go with two writing assessments planned in. A knowledge organiser and vocab lists are also included. No planning or preparation necessary. Just turn up and project onto the board. Not much to print - only necessary slides. Myths covered include: African Anansi, Viking Asgard, Theseus, Persophone, Icarus, Beowulf, Pandora, Medusa etc
