A simple but effective archery booklet that allows learners to keep a record of their archery experiences. It has opportunities for learners to comment on safety precautions and technique during the different stages before finishing with a short test. It also has a score card for students to keep a record of their performance. This should ideally be used during and/or after the practical teaching of archery.
The SPORT assessment model is designed to assess learner’s character, performance and cognitive abilities. This model encompasses 5 different strands; social, physical, organisation, resilience and thinking. These strands have been built into rubrics that develop learners from years 7-11.
Its aim is to develop reliable and effective citizens when they leave school. This approach aims to drive and encourage students to always want to improve and better themselves. This holistic approach also enables all learners the chance to be successful and encourage them into lifelong physical activity.

This unit of work has been designed to baseline students against the SPORT assessment model. It can be used as a trial before using the SPORT assessment model.
Also highly recommended to challenge KS3 as an alternative unit of work.
