This booklet of summer activities for English is aimed at KS3 pupils. it is designed to inspire them to read, write and complete some grammatical exercises over the summer break. Activities include; analysing your summer soundtrack, completing a trip advisor review - with model extracts, writing a hilarious holiday anecdote, creating a collage and grammatical exercises. I intend to print the booklet and issue it to KS3 pupils before the summer break. You could add an incentive to encourage pupils to complete the work.

Scheme of several lessons including extracts, poetry, differentiated work sheets, homework and fun acivities to encourage pupils to expland their vocabulary and develop their descriptive writing skills.

For students to use as a differentiated tool for support. Pupils should stick the strip into their exercise books and begin to write their analysis along side. The middle column reminds students to use comparative connectives.

Pupils will be able to use the flow chart - to place the events of the novel in order. This ppt and resource pack will support pupils to create their own revision document using images, ideas, vocabulary list, themes and key quotes. It reminds pupils of the key assessment objectives on the English Literature exam. I intend to issue pupils with the resource packs, glue, creative materials and 1.5m of lining paper for each pupil to create a visual revision resource to take home.

Pupils should arrange the cards into a diamond shape and decide who is to blame for the fate of Romeo and Juliet. Pupils should attempt to “throw emotions” in the play to show the contrast between love and hate.

This resource is aimed at Y6 and KS3 . The ppt covers prefixes, apostrophes for possession, verb forms and complex sentences. The worksheet also attached accompanies the lesson and there are opportunities to use white boards and paired work to add variation. I hope this is helpful

A useful resource to support students when planning essays.

This presentation prepares pupils to analyse each assessment objective for the GCSE English Literature for EDUQAS. The file with the worksheet also includes intervention support for pupils for each assessment objective. Simply cut up these sections and allow pupils to self-select their support for personalised differentiation. This particular lesson uses the initial description of Scrooge.

This worksheet is designed to encourage pupils to use imagery in their writing, to use their senses, build up tension and "show not tell." Could be used following an assessment as differentiated intervention.
