One week (could be stretched to two) unit of work for writing an Evacuee letter. Based upon the children’s tv series ‘Carrie’s War’ which you will need to watch at least episode 1. Aimed at Y5/6

Creative Writing Lesson Plan with resources. 2 days planned but could easily be adapted to run over a full week. Notebook file and differentiated planning worksheets. Suitable for KS2.

Organised into key categories from the artihmetic paper, these resources will help to focus on specific areas which children often struggle with. Taken from the last 4 years of arithmetic papers. Perfect for small group interventions or whole class revision.

Best suited for upper KS2 although could be adapted for all year groups. A transition day activity for children to set themselves targets and look to the year ahead, based on the seasons. With an opportunity to review at each point.
