A template and example aimed at second level CFE or an upper primary class such as P7. It follows the Es and Os of CFE level 2 working towards level 3, supporting the use of imagination, imagery, structured recount writing and use of facts and evidence. Recommended lesson on note taking and research on facts about the Loch Ness, as well as real groups and interviews in history about the monster, or if they would like to interview a fellow pupil to help them create the sighting. This resource prompts pupils to use their imagination and write as if they are a newspaper company who has been asked to write a page on a claim about a recent sighting of the Loch Ness Monster. They can decide whether or not their Newspaper company believes the claim to be true or false and base their language, headings and titles around this. Enjoy!
