ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY

(0)
Presentation, practice and production (PPP) Presentation Presentation Practice Production There are two main approaches to teaching grammar. These are the deductive and the inductive approach. A deductive approach is when the rule is presented and the language is produced based on the rule. (The teacher gives the rule.) An inductive approach is when the rule is inferred through some form of guided discovery. (The teacher gives the students a means to discover the rule for themselves.) This resource follows the Inductive Method getting students more familiar with the Grammar Topic : Adverbs of Frequency. The resource follows the following steps … PPP (Text Based) Lead in (context for your text) Reading Comprehension/ Context Highlighting language Clarification (meaning and form ) Controlled Practice/ Restricted Practice Freer Practice/ Production Presentation, practice and production (PPP) The inductive approach, on the other hand, is often more beneficial to students who already have a base in the language as it encourages them to work things out for themselves based on their existing knowledge.

Empathy VS Sympathy

(0)
EMPATHY is when you try to understand another’s feelings … it’s putting yourself in someone else’s shoes. SYMPATHY on the other hand is being supportive to another by reaching your hand out in assistance & love . This POWERPOINT is a complete lesson explaining both Empathy & Sympathy through pictures & texts . It highlights each of these feelings & draws on the differences between each . Just to be clear the meanings of Empathy and Sympathy are drawn out from the students themselves and so that is why there is no definition or difference mentioned in the resource. The students will come to the definition and difference themselves. I have actually used this resource in my class and it worked out well .
