English Terminology Display Pack (Subject-Specific Vocabulary)
Included are a selection of beautiful text-linked posters depicting tier three subject-specific vocabulary for the English Language and English Literature GCSE specifications. There are 35 methods (one per poster), which include:
Anthropomorphism
Foreshadowing
Metaphor
Oxymoron
Personification
Synaesthesia
On each poster, there is:
one method
a definition of the method
an example of the method from a piece of writing
In this particular bundle, written examples of methods have been taken from:
‘An Inspector Calls’ by J. B. Priestley
‘Romeo and Juliet’ by William Shakespeare
‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens
‘Animal Farm’ by George Orwell
‘Of Mice and Men’ by John Steinbeck
Poems within the AQA Love and Relationships Anthology
I have used these posters within my own classroom (see photograph) and they have been highly-rated by both staff and students within the school.
If you study poems within AQA’s Power and Conflict Anthology, a similar resource - substituting poems from the Love and Relationships Anthology with poems from the Power and Conflict Anthology - is also available in my shop.
Enjoy!
