ARFID Tasting Game
Snakes and Ladders: Tasting Times game for ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder)
This is a fun and gentle way to encourage children to explore new foods in a pressure-free environment. The game uses the classic snakes and ladders format with added prompts related to food exposure, sensory exploration, and positive reinforcement.
Using a dice, you must perform the action on the board to progress. The child can touch the food with their hands, kiss the food, smell the food, or lick the food. Be sure to use a food they are familiar with, or close to their safe foods. This is inspired by the “32 Steps to eating”.
