It is a text heavy, but includes information about the set products, the relevant theories and contexts. They liked that it had information on each product, one slide each. You can send this, or print on A3 and A4. Feel free to edit to your own liking. For Component 2, we focused on Life on Mars, Vogue and Zoella.

A good resource for those introducing Media Industries, using the set product, 'Straight Outta Compton'. I am in the middle of making a separate PowerPoint resource for this set product. I am getting the students to understand the differences between production, distribution and exhibition, as well as key terms such as convergence, vertical integration and viral marketing etc. The PowerPoint should be up by the end of the week.

My students found it difficult to understand the jargon used by the theorists, so a breakdown with 'friendlier words' was the best way forward. For some of the break downs, I have referred to the set products.

I have compiled all the notes together and put them in order. If this course or qualification is new to you, this is the perfect go to guide. I have included a starter guide (which you can edit with your school/college logo) which explains what the students will be studying. All set product resources have been saved from the Eduqas website. I have provided a link to an episode of Life on Mars (if that is your preferred choice) too.
