This is a unit for French for life - as part of the Languages for life and Work award. Each item can be bought separately under my resources. It covers the very basics and can easily be re-used for N4 or Y10 as in preparation to GCSEs. It contains: A workbook divided into 6 parts to get students to practice the 4 skills on the following contexts: Personal details Family and friends School Hobbies Environment/where we live Daily routine The learning intentions and success criteria are clearly stated as well as plan for assessments. A knowledge organiser is included, containing pronunciation and translation into English. A PowerPoint of 589 slides with key vocabulary and exercises A revision/extension workbook with key vocab (in a building sentences format), focus on assessment prep with mock assessments, a lot of key vocabulary to revise. I put this together to support my languages for life and work class. Although it is mostly for the Scottish curriculum, this can also be good revision for Y10 students going into Y11 and sitting their GCSEs, or for students doing their N4 or going into N5. This is a Booklet that goes along with the Knowledge Organiser on the same topic and that can be find in my shop under “Employability Vocabulary Booklet”. There are 15 missions divided into a different amount of tasks. Each mission should roughly be one lesson. The aim is for students to be able to put their CV together in Spanish and be able to apply for a job as well as be ready for a job interview. I hope this helps.

Teaching how to conjugate verbs has never been that enjoyable for my students to learn after I broke it down so much and made it logical and easy for them to learn. This example of a review activy end of year in French can be used as such and/or adapted to any language, class/level and any topic, including cultural and grammatical aspects. It has tasks explanations in the notes part of the PowerPoint. Activities have different levels of differentiation and offer personalisation and choice, indivual and group tasks and a chance to practice the four skills: reading, writing, listening and talking. I'm using this activity with some of my primary students to revise how to describe yourself and the others. I tried to make something interactive and primary students love how the asnwers show up etc..so it get their interest. Hope it will help !

Pupils have to crack the code to find a description and guess who is being described. Then there is an activity to revise family members with a music quiz. My pupils loved those activities and it has been the best lesson I have had over the past few weeks. It worked very well. Hope it helps!
