Using the style and meter of Alfred Noyes’s classic poem, themes of love and betrayal are explored as Tim the Ostler gives his version of what happened to Bess and the Highwayman. It is suggested that this resource is used to support study of “The Highwayman” by students writing recounts of the story or their own poems.
