Recognizing Numbers There are two worksheets which aim to help children recognize numbers and also identify how they are correctly spelled. This can lead children to count correctly and write numbers correctly when the learn to identify the number. This is a easy to understand upper key stage one and lower key stage two, resource.

This worksheet is aimed at helping key stage two children. It aims to help break down larger numbers into more easy to manage numbers.

This is a maths resource, ideally for Key Stage 2. It introduces children to the topic of Percentages. It delineates a very simple method of how to find 10 percent, of a given number and quantity. It contains clear examples of how to do this. Then it shows pupils how to subtract 10 percent from a quantity and make a note of what is left. This is to help children see how percentages are used in real life, like in shops which have SALES.

This worksheet is intended for the upper key stage 2, years 5 and 6. Its aim is to help pupils with finding a percentage of a given quantity by building on the knowledge they previously have gained on percentages. It should aim to increase this knowledge by doing more work on percentages by increasing the level of difficulty, just slightly. The idea of Decimals is highlighted, in order for pupils to use the DC (decimal point) to find the percentage. An example is given in clear steps to help pupils on how to move the Decimal Point, in order to work out the percentage.

This is the second worksheet on the Percentages activity. It builds on the knowledge already acquired in the first worksheet and increases in difficulty, slightly by increasing the percentage from 10% to 20%. The second part is about subtracting the 20% from a given quantity, with an example, to find out the new amount after the deduction. This is to help Pupils become familiar with Percentages and apply them in every day life.

This brief Guidance is the first part of my teaching experience in a year 4 literacy lesson, and outlines what I did well and how I aim to improve my teaching by sharing my experience. It is for anyone wanting any advice on how to correct misconceptions in the classroom alongside some suggestions for improvements. I have tried to outline in as much detail as possible, all that I covered in this lesson, and have tried to be as honest as possible.
