The lesson starts by teaching vocabulary on a range of addictions then moving on o practising this vocabulary in two high level reading tasks. The lesson then focuses about ‘le tabac en France’ using some authentic French anti-tabac campains and adverts to push students using more difficult content. This is a good opportunity to discuss coping strategies that are needed at GCSE level. These grade descriptions (for each skill + grammar) use the Pearson progression scale as guidance, but it has been re-worded and set up in a more user-friendly format. This has been a huge help to get consistency in our department when awarding grades. This can of course be changed and adapted as we receive more guidance regarding grade description this summer.
