The focus in these ten worksheets is on revising vocabulary from the books Stimmt 1 & 2. Each unit usually has seven or eight tasks, which could be adapted and used flexibly. Instructions are in English and answers are provided, so these sheets are ideal for cover lessons or homework. PLEASE NOTE: I realised that I had omitted some of the answer sheets, but I have now included them. Each unit has pre-translation exercises with a focus on specific structures. Suggested answers are provided, so the exercises could be marked by a non-specialist in a cover lesson or self-marked. Exercises are quite challenging, so some pupils might need additional support/scaffolding.

Bundle of time-saving resources to go with Stimmt 1 Kapitel 5 or could be used on their own or with other courses. Town, souvenirs, holidays, snacks, drinks, future tense. They are not intended to be complete lessons, but can be used flexibly and most could be adapted to suit you. Resources include presentations of vocabulary and grammar, reading tasks, a board game, quiz quiz trade cards, a crossword, sentence makers and an appendix with a word mat of key structures.

14 page workbook to practise reading for the Foundation level exam. Some questions are short and focus on individual items of vocabulary. Others are exam-style questions. Answers are provided, so this is ideal for revision, either in a cover lesson or for individual study.

A reading resource for KS4 German about Halloween. The first few tasks are intended for acquisition of topic-specific vocabulary. A longer reading task follows, with GCSE-style questions. There are also some questions, which could be exploited orally and a suggestion for a written task for consolidation or homework.

Specific grammar points practised are: Present Tense, Adjectves (nominative and accusative), Perfect Tense, Questions, “denn” and “weil” and modal verbs (müssen, können, dürfen). The vocabulary used relates to the topic of school. Instructions and explanations are in English, so the sheets could be used for homeworks or cover lessons.

A set of 30 Quiz Quiz Trade cards on the topic of holidays, using the core vocabulary from Stimmt 2 Kapitel 1 “Ich liebe Ferien”. Focus is on the Perfect Tense with places stayed, means of travel and activities.

“Slap the board” is a classic! Project a slide on to the board. Divide the class into two teams. Two pupils come to the front and are given a fly swat or rolled up sheet of paper (better than letting them actually slap the board with their hands.) Ask them to stand with their backs to the board. Call out a word, phrase or number (as appropriate). Pupils turn round and the first to swat the translation wins a point. 10 slides with key vocabulary from all units of Stimmt 1.
