A detailed, scaffolded weeks SoW which models how to approach analysing poetry. Suitable for KS4 but can be easily changed to suit KS3.

Developing inference skills, using images, words, phrases then extracts, scaffolding how to retrieve information from a text. Can easily be adapted to KS3 or any other exam board which requires inference.

A full lesson which explores how to develop a realistic persona using details from a given text. This was devised for extended writing task in IGCSE English but can be adapted for any board or similar tasks which require a sustained or developed persona.

A lesson which teaches the text types and features they could come accross in Q3 of the Language paper at IGCSE.

A lesson which features a break down of the writing task, models and plenty of AFL to help develop the requisite skills.
