Focusing on composing, improvisation, thinking about dynamics, tempo, duration and pitch.
Graphic scores are a great way of allowing pupils to take the lead on thinking creatively about sounds and how to use them.
It allows them to develop skills on using tempo, dynamics, composing, teamwork and communication.
Use these rhythms as part of a whole class or group session. Give each group a rhythm to learn and have each group perform their rhythms and create their own. Or complete as a class with each slide on the board while the teachers counts to keep all pupils in time. This can be used along with some music as a challenge.
