Here is a weeks worth of English planning based on the new curriculum (Can children use different sentence types in their writing?). The writing is based around the story of Little Red Riding Hood and provides many opportunities for the children to put these sentence types in their writing. The pack provides the weekly lessons, all the resources I used during the week, an adapted version of the story, and all the learning question and marking stickers I use in my class. This African safari booklet can be used for children in KS1 and was made as a tool to use while at Woburn Safari Park. Children were able to draw pictures of animals they could see, write down interesting facts about the animals and draw a still life of one of their favourite animals.

This is a series of worksheets used to introduce past and present tense to Year 2. The task involves children changing the past tense sentences to present tense.

Here is a sticker I use in class when wanting the children to take part in peer assessment. I print it out onto stickers and stick it in the children the book. The rest is self explanatory... the children swap books with a partner and give their friends two stars and a wish based on the piece of work they have produced.
