The resource illustrates the main eras of Wales, with a focus on historical events that are unique to Wales. There are two version of the resource targeting progression step 2 and 3. The resource has been designed in line with the Curriculum for Wales.

This resource encourages learners to appreciate the importance of location for a settlement site in the Iron Age. By exploring the importance of natural resources to society, learners can start to explain how natural resources are acquired and why choosing a good settlement site depended on these factors. There are two versions of the resource which target progression step 3 and 4. The resources have been designed in line with the Curriculum for Wales.

Learners can enquire, explore and investigate historical sites in Wales using the Coflein website, to gain an understanding of who has lived in their local area throughout history, and how the land might have been used. Learners can use Coflein to investigate how communities have evolved and apply this to their knowledge of what drivers may have caused historical sites to change over time. Learners can combine their knowledge and creative skills to effectively communicate and present information. Resources are designed in line with the Curriculum for Wales.
