A scheme of work that focuses on the environment issue using the Simpsons movie to supplement it's understanding. It involves a series of interactive resources that looks at why we need to learn about the environment, they complete a mind map and facebook template during this lesson. NOTE: you must have a copy of the film- you can purchase from Amazon for a couple of pounds. Lesson Objective: To learn about some of the environmental issues that exist. To start to think about effective ways of managing them. Activities: . Write down 10 things which can damage our environment. 2. Watch first 20 minutes of the film stopping it at the following intervals: - 3 minutes (Green day activity- two slides) - 6 minutes (premonition activity) - 8 minutes- (Lisa door-to-door) Facebook task. - 16 minutes (Fishing- discussion- is this ok?) - 18 minutes (Management technique) - (Must stop before 22mins). 3. Brainpop video: water pollution 4. Homework: paragraph- what should happen next? 5. Plenary: text message.
