Print off and laminate these 4 snowflake designs - the small spots on the snowflakes allow hamma beads (or other tiny objects) to be tweezed on top. Great for finger strength, fine motor development, use in funky fingers area, finger gym as well as counting and pattern skills.

Perfect resource for Early Years or Key Stage One. Print out the game board and laminate. Print out some sound cards (I used SparkleBox sound cards). Each pig has to hold a sound (place a sound card under each pig) and then children say the sounds and blend the word. They can see if they’ve made a real or nonsense word. This game can simply be CVC words using single letters or could include digraph cards for Phase 3 Phonics. I put a star sticker on the vowel sounds and the middle box of the game board so children put those sounds in the middle helping them make more realistic words. Children can colour in the small pictures and write the names of the animals underneath. They can cut the little cards up, hole punch and use a treasury tag to create a mini book! Perfect for adult directed task or for the writing area in continuous provision.
