A simple powerpoint about the moon and accompanying sheets for books which are really writing prompts about the topic of Space for Year 1. Some of the sheets match my other Animals in Space powerpoint. Hope it saves time for somebody!

The first powerpoint is about herbivores and carnivores and includes some fun facts. It was made for a Year 1 class. The second one is adapted from another ppt I found about the different theories as to why they became extinct. The children made a zig zag book to draw and annotate the different ideas and say which they thought was right. They came up with some insane ideas of their own....

We teach Neil Armstrong in Year 1 as a historical figure. The children have been fascinated so I thought an extra week exploring animals in space might be fun. The powerpoint includes links to a couple of websites including a rap on youtube about the planets and a site where you can upload a child's face onto a space suit. I tried to keep it really simple so I hope it helps. I will upload worksheets and other bits and bobs as I go along...
