The Nowhere Emporium, Year 5 English Unit

(1)
An English unit based on the book The Nowhere Emporium with the end result being a setting description. This download contains the full 15 lesson plan, all of the differentiated resources and the flipcharts (active inspire) that were used each lesson. This 3 week unit immerses the children within setting description and provides opportunity for the class to create their own book of wonders. This unit primarily focuses on: the features of a setting description describing the 5 senses expanded noun phrases fronted prepositional phrases effective vocabulary This unit was planned for a very mixed ability year group, ranging from year 2 ability through to GDS year 5. The resources have been differentiated with that in mind, but can be tweaked easily to fit your class. I also created a vocabulary book for this text which you can also find on my page.
